On Saturday, June 9th the GAMA NY team helped organize IRAP’s third annual fundraising dinner taking place at Agora Gallery. GAMA artists donated their work for the cause of refugee assistance, from as far afield as California, Michigan, and Oklahoma!

Proceeds of the benefit auction benefited the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP), the first organization to provide comprehensive legal assistance to refugees displaced by conflict in the Middle East and North Africa. IRAP was instrumental in organizing and providing legal assistance to those detained at JFK and other airports after the administration’s “travel ban” last year, and it continues to provide direct legal aid, litigation, and systemic advocacy to thousands of affected refugees and immigrants.

The turnout was amazing— thanks to everyone who attended and many thanks to the GAMA artists who sold their work for a good cause!
