a global collective.

GAMA is an artist-led collective that brings artists together to build intentional, meaningful relationships. Through retreats, arts programs, and community gatherings in different locations, we create opportunities for connection, collaboration, and shared creative growth.

our work.

GAMA fosters spaces grounded in authenticity, trust, and openness where artists can share their own narratives and build community. We provide resources and platforms that help address the structural and creative obstacles artists face, supporting them in shaping their own paths and participating in the broader cultural landscape on their own terms.

our mission.

Our mission is to build meaningful connections among Muslim artists, creating spaces and networks that support collaboration, growth, and access to opportunities.

the GAMA retreat.

The GAMA Retreat is our cornerstone program, bringing together artists across disciplines for a three-day gathering centered on creative exchange. Artists share work, workshop ideas, and explore new approaches in a collaborative setting. These retreats often spark new partnerships, generate original work, and strengthen the creative relationships that extend beyond the gathering itself.

Khamsa: The Five Stages of Grief.

Khamsa, the Arabic word for “five,” is a multimedia project exploring the five stages of grief through the work of Black, Muslim, immigrant, and refugee artists. The project included a seven-week exhibition, musical performances, a companion podcast, and a digital album, creating a layered, immersive artistic experience.

Pathways to Sprituality.

Pathways to Spirituality is an immersive experience that brings art and reflection together. The program invites participants into a shared space of stillness, intention, and creative expression, incorporating prayer, a shared meal, and a guided painting workshop.

Mosquers Open Jam

The Mosquers Open Jam is an improvised, open-format platform where Muslim artists share stories and experiment across disciplines in real time. Open to creatives of all levels, it fosters collaboration, lowers barriers to participation, and creates space for spontaneous expression. Presented in collaboration with the Mosquers Film Festival and Lost Poet Studios, the Open Jam has also led to recorded performances and original releases, capturing the energy and creativity of the live experience.
